I think both these organizations are doing great work for women locally and globally. I believe that through the work of these organizations the progress of women everywhere is happening.
Both organizations really do encourage development for women and men. A lot of the same policies that Planned Parenthood has about sexual reproductive rights and practicing safe sex are implemented by UNIFEM although on a much larger scale. The same goals and aspirations of PP are held by UNIFEM as well. Although Planned Parenthood focuses in on one aspect (sexual health and reproductive rights) in order to achieve their aspirations. UNIFEM takes a more broad and far-reaching concept for their organization. They hope to improve the lives of women in developing countries (and some developed ones) through empowering them, and providing them with services and support, which PP hopes to do as well.
PP

-focus on reproductive rights and practicing responsible sex.
-Receive funding from government and private donors
-Ask for payment of their services but offer cheap rates
UNIFEM
- mostly developing countries
- Broader aspirations
-receive funding from business/govt
- do not ask for payment from people
BOTH
-Safe sex practice huge part for both organizations, women having control over their bodies, ending violence against women.
